Are your workers being exposed to harmful levels of airborne contaminants? Ask yourself:
- What airborne contaminants are in my workplace?
- For how long and how often are my workers exposed?
- How effective are my current controls?
- How much harm could they cause?
- Do I know the source of the contaminants?
- Do my workers use their PPE correctly?
If you are not certain if airborne contaminants in your workplace exceed the exposure limits, you must conduct air monitoring.
Air monitoring can show you:
- how much your workers are being exposed
- which processes or products are the source of exposure, and
- if your control measures are working.
