Quarry manager’s certificate

• Complete the Statement of experience: QM – 2 years employment on a quarry: Template

• Provide evidence of working in a suitable role for a minimum of 84 shifts
• The nominated supervisor must confirm candidate is competent.

• Provide evidence of working in a suitable role for a minimum of 42 shifts
• The nominated supervisor must confirm candidate is competent.

• Experience in mine transport and services
• The nominated supervisor must confirm candidate is competent in mine transport and services
• Provide evidence of working in a suitable role for a minimum of 42 shifts.

Candidate must submit a National Police Clearance. The document must be issued within 12 months of Mining Competence Advisory Committee review.

The minimum acceptable unit of competency for first aid certificate is HLTAID011 Provide first aid. The document must be issued within 3 years of Mining Competence Advisory Committee review.

The following WHS risk management units must be completed.

• RIIRIS501E or BSBWHS513 – Risk management core unit of competency
• BSBWHS411 – Unit of competency to contextualise work health and safety risk for a statutory position holder
• RIIRIS402E or BSBWHS414 – Unit of competency to assist in risk communication.

The committee can consider current and superseded equivalent versions of the above units if they are completed on or after 1 January 2018.
