You need the following licence to import and export explosives and/or security sensitive ammonium nitrate (SSAN) to and from Western Australia.
- Explosives import/export licence
- SSAN import/export licence.
Note: The import/export licence does not allow the holder to transport, use, store or manufacture explosives without additional explosives licences.

Required information
The licence holder must provide a safety data sheet (SDS) for all explosives and security sensitive ammonium nitrate detailed in the notice.
The Department’s Chief Dangerous Goods Officer may require a certificate of analysis (signed by the licence holder) for any security sensitive ammonium nitrate.
